How is Physical Medicine affected by the Coronavirus pandemic?
You might be asking yourself how Chiropractic care may be affected by our present Coronavirus pandemic. All of us at FCCSP have been closely following our local and state agencies for information and directives that will affect daily operations and procedures that involve close physical contact between the doctors and their patients. Chiropractic care is unique because of the proximity by which we conduct care with our patients. We have taken extra steps beyond our usual Universal Precautions set forth by OSHA to include the following additional changes:
Removing magazines and toys from our reception area.
Limiting waiting room density.
Disinfecting door knobs and frequently touched items like writing utensils.
Use of respiratory masks by doctors and staff during patient encounters.
Postponing treatments if patients have the following in the last 7 days.
Fever of 100 degrees or more.
Respiratory symptoms (weezing, coughing, sinus drain, frequent sneezing, etc.).
Have returned from a foreign country in the last 7 days.
Have direct household contact with someone with ANY of the above conditions.
